I cannot login to the app

First check that you have Wifi or Cell Data connectivity on your Smartphone/Device, and that you can access other online services such as a web browser.
Next check that your APP is up to date. Use the iTunes or Play Store to check or download the latest APK for Android above.
Check that you have the correct login details entered into the APP screen. If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password option
Check that the Date and Time are correct on your Smartphone/Device. Sometimes if you are roaming and you have a phone that is not set to update its time and date from the phone network, the date and time may be wrong.

I am trying to install using the APK

First you must download the APK file to your Phone. The simplest method is to open this page in your Phone’s web browser and select the APK download link above, and save the file. Then use a file manager (Android usually has an app called My Files or File Manager, or you can download one such as ES File Explorer from Play Store) to select the file. Android should ask if you want to install, and you should select yes. You may need to select yes to allowing permissions to install an unknown application, or if you have an earlier version of Android you can change the security settings in your Settings app and allow installation from unknown sources. Be sure to return this setting to its previous value after installation.
Once installed, you can use the Upgrade option built into the APP, under Me->About (but if you installed from Play Store then we recommend allowing Play Store to upgrade the APP)

I am trying to sign up using email/sms but I hade to leave the APP to get my verification code. Now it is asking me to get a verification code again

There is a time period as mentioned in the verification message you will receive. During this period further requests to get a verification code will return the same code, so you may restart the APP, select signup and enter your email address/phone number, request to get the verification code and input the one you already received

I cannot add a Universal SmartStation MC-1

First check that you are connected to the WiFi network you intend to use, and have a good signal. Use the Phone’s WiFi settings APP to verify this. We recommend checking this while next to the MC-1 so you can be sure it has a good WiFi signal as well.
Secondly, it sometimes helps to start the search process (pressing “Next” in the “Connect device” screen) within three seconds of the MC-1 green light beginning flashing after a reset.
Finally, some Hotel, Enterprise or Home WiFi networks have technology to manage devices on their networks and restrict new connections without authorization by the network operator. We have found a simple way to test this is to use your Phone’s WiFi hotspot function if available, but we don’t recommend this for normal use. In these cases you may need to consult the network operator.

I cannot login

I receive a Network Unavailable message when attempting to Backup or Restore my configuration

First try logging out and logging back into the APP. This will refresh the connection.

I cannot add a device other than an MC-1

Try to start the scanning process within a few seconds of resetting the device. For security each device such as MS-1 or MB-1 will listen for a new controller after a reset for only a short time to reduce the chance for connection with an foreign controller, which is possible in a busy network.
Check the distance between the device and the MC-1 and the type of building structures in use. Similar to WiFi, walls and concrete will affect the range and quality of the signals used to connect the devices. Sometimes changing the orientation of an MC-1 or MS-1 will improve the connection.
There is a limit of fifteen devices per MC-1.

I cannot learn my IR remote

Always aim your remote toward the MC-1, and ensure there is no strong sunlight or other lighting (including IR lighting such as security cameras) or possibly reflective surfaces than may interfere with the IR signal you are trying to learn.
We have engineered our devices to operate with a wide range of remote controls using standard 38kHz IR signals and supporting the known protocols in use. However some manufacturers use esoteric or home-grown protocols or non-standard IR frequencies and these cannot be learned

I try to update my MC-1 firmware but it says it has timed out

This is usually a warning and not an issue. The APP sends a message to the MC-1 to start its update, which it will then undertake on its own. The APP expects the firmware update to complete within a minute or so, but on slow or busy networks the MC-1 may take longer to complete its update. It is important not to reset or power off the MC-1 during its update process, unless it has been taking longer than about ten minutes. Then try again.
